End of Term 3
Term 3 has been absolutely fantastic and P2/3 and Miss Lochhead have loved learning lots of new things in our wonderful new class room. Our Circus topic was a great success and we want to thank you all for coming along to our Open Evening and supporting us.
During our Circus topic we have learned various things such as, the history of the circus, what acts perform at the circus and we have looked at the pros and cons of having animals in the circus. P2/3 had lots of good arguments why they thought animals should not be used in the circus and were very happy to learn that some circuses like the Cirque du Soleil do not use animals at all. We have also been creating lots of fantastic circus art work such as our own clown portraits, circus trains and animals and flying trapeze artists which are all outstanding!
We have been very lucky to have a friend called Koko the clown who has been sending us video messages in class to help us learn all of these things. He thought we were working so hard that he sent his friend Anna the clown to teach us lots of amazing circus tricks such as juggling, plate spinning, pedal-go riding and even taught us how to walk the tightrope! Even Miss Lochhead had a go at walking the thinnest rope on Earth!
We used all of these skills we learned during the topic to produce our wonderful Kirkus Circus to all of our friends and family. Everyone loved performing their act to the audience and the night was a success all round.
