The Circus

Term 3 in Room 9 has been filled with lots of fun, excitement and learning as we continue with our magnificent circus topic! Everyone is so excited to be learning all about the circus and creating lots of beautiful art work for our class. We have been very lucky because we have made a new friend during our topic and his name is Koko the Clown. He has been leaving us video messages and helping us learn all about the circus.

We have been working on our team building skills by working in our co-operative learning groups for lots of activities this term. In particular we all enjoyed taking part in our debate with Room 8 about whether or not animals should be allowed to perform at the circus. Lots of great discussion came from this! Look below for the results of our continuum.

We have also been looking at healthy eating and designed our very own acrobat's healthy lunch with Miss Fanning and are now going to make our lunches with Miss Lochhead.

We have been doing lots more during our topic time but we don't want to spoil the surprise for the open evening! So you will all have to wait a little bit longer. :)
